How to burn songs movies and files to DVD on Mac

It's really easy to burn DVD on Mac. And this step by step guide will show you the steps to burn songs, movie and data files to DVD on Mac. It's easy to understand, you can manage it even you are computer newbie.

Part1. How to burn songs to CD or DVD on Mac

You can use iTunes to burn playable CD to play on any CD player or DVD player. And iTunes can burn iTunes library to DVD for backup or transfer. Here are the steps.

Step1. Open iTunes and make a playlist. You can do this by going to 'File - New Playlist'. Then you can drag the songs you want to burn into the playlist. A music CD can hold about 20 songs.

Step2. Once you've made a playlist with your desired songs, put a blank disk on your computer burner. Right click the playlist and select 'Burn Playlist to Disk'.

Sep3. Then iTunes will pop up the 'Burn Settings' windows. Choose 'Audio CD', Check the two options below that. Then click 'Burn' iTunes will make a notification sound when the burning process is complete.

Step1. Download and install the DVD Creator for Mac. And then run it.

Click 'Create new DVD', Drag and drop the video you want to burn into the program. This DVD Creator allows you to save project file, which can be imported again for further editing or burning if you do not want to burn the edited videos at once.

Step2. This DVD Creator build-in many special DVD menus, and it supports some video editing functions like cut, join, trim, add background music, text, etc. Use them if necessary. Once you finish edited video, put a blank DVD disk on your Mac burner. Click 'Start' and choose 'DVD Disk' to begin the burning process. You will get a notification once it is complete.

Step1. It couldn't be easier to burn data files or folder to DVD on Mac. Start by creating a new burn folder on your Mac's desktop. To do so, right click in some empty space on the desktop and select 'New Burn Folder 'from the quick menu.

Step2. Located the files on your computer that you want to burn to DVD, drag them into the folder you made. You can add up to 4.5 GB files for regular DVD and up to 8.7 GB files for dual-layer DVD.

Step3. Put a blank DVD disk into your Mac burner. If you are using Snow Leopard, click the icon that looks like a gear, from within the folder, to activate the drop down menu. Select Burn 'folder name' to Disc from the drop down menu. If you are using an earlier version of OS X, such as Tiger, you should have created a burn folder rather than a regular folder. To start burning your DVD, simply click the Burn button, located in the upper right hand corner of the window. That's all.
