How to remotely erase all iPhone files

It’s too bad to lose your personal iPhone, because there are many privacy files like Contacts, Emails, Texts, Photos and Videos on your iPhone. If you lost your iPhone and you sure you can’t find it back. Here is a step by step guide show you how to remotely erase all files on your iPhone, keep your privacy secret.

To remotely wipe your iPhone, here are some requirements

You have to install iCloud on your iPhone and turn it on.
Enable ‘Find My iPhone’ on your iPhone.
A computer with internet connection, you need to remotely erase your iPhone files through a web browser.

If you don’t know how to set up iCloud and ‘Find My iPhone’, please follow these steps.

After you upgrade your iPhone to iOS 5 or above, the iCloud should be automatically installed on your iPhone.
Tab on iCloud and type in your Apple ID.
In the bottom of iCloud setting, there is an option named ‘Find mY iPhone’, switch it to ‘ON’ to allow the app to use location services.

Go to your iPhone App Store, search the ‘Find My iPhone’, download and install it. Done.

Here we go to the next steps to remotely wipe your iPhone

Visit iCloud.com on your computer through a web browser. Log in with your Apple ID, and then launch the ‘Find My iPhone’ app.
You’ll now be at a Maps window, tap on “Devices” in the upper left corner and select the iPhone you wish to remotely delete files.
Tap the ‘Remote Wipe’ icon next to the device name.

Confirm you want to erase all data on the iPhone by tapping ‘Erase All Data’ – Please do remember, you can’t recover any files on the iPhone once you wipe it.
After this process has begun you will soon notice the iPhone disappear from the ‘Find My iPhone’ app, this mean the iPhone files has been successfully deleted.
